Trach done went well.

Britney had her tracheotomy done today and it went very well. She woke up quite a bit after surgery and was pretty responsive. She is getting dialysis now. Over the next few days they will wake her up more by decreasing her sedation. This is another huge step for her because she can heal her mouth, and possible mouth words, and be able to get off the ventilator quicker.
Have a great 4th of July tomorrow everyone.

  1. John,
As day turns to day, and time passes on, and the acute shock of what happened wears off, I want to let you know that we will continue to think about, and pray, and fast for your family with new intensity. I donated blood for the first time this week, in Britney's honor. A small gesture for sure, but just a way to let you know that we are determined to see you through this trial, and share your burden in whatever small way we can. I just want to let you know we are standing by from a distance, as we all continue to wait upon our good Lord to manifest his will. Keep the faith. Marc and Tricia.

  2. I'm glad the trach went well. It will be so wonderful to be able to communicate with her again. We will continue to pray. BTW what is your email? I wanted to write a letter of things I want to say to Britney. And maybe you could read it to her. Thanks John you have been such a strength to all of us and especially to Britney.
