Britney is having a very good day. Her pain is very well controlled with a small amount of pain medicine. She has been awake sometimes looking around. She followed her sister Arielle's finger around with her eyes. She also was switched to a new ventilator that allows her to breath on her own and give breaths as needed. It also has some pressure support like CPAP to keep her airway open. Her left lung is beginning to clear on its own, and they are readjusting the chest tube on the right side to take care of her pneumothorax. Today was such a amazing day for her. Thank you for all of your prayers and thoughts and support.

I know that Jana was quite concerned about the surgery tomorrow, so the fact that she is improving on her own without the surgery is a wonderful blessing - to her as well as to all of you. She has been through so much already. We continue to keep her in our thoughts and prayers - as well as all of you. I know it meant a lot to Arielle to be there as well.

ReplyDeleteAmen to that! Your strength and steadfastness have been such a great statement of your faith. I know your desire is to have Britney back with you and the kids. I can't think of them without Britney...what a tremendous mother, wife, and friend she is. All hope and prayer is alive and with you guys. I'm so relieved to hear she is not suffering any longer.
ReplyDeleteJon, we continue to pray for you and your family. Carter asked us a little while back why we keep praying for the Winkler's. He was in primary with Jonas so I briefly told him what was going on. He has been so concerned for Jonas and has been unwavering in his prayers for Jonas and his family. Miracles do happen and we are praying for one!
