Britney Moved

Hi everyone,
Britney moved yesterday to Malley skilled nursing and rehab center. It's at 401 Malley Dr
Northglenn, CO 80233. Sorry for the long time between posts. There have not been many changes but Britney seems to be slightly more aware as time progresses. She looks at us when we talk to her a lot of times. She is more peaceful and relaxed the past few months. It is frustrating to not have much progress. That is why we haven't posted anything. Thank you all for asking about her and how she is doing. Your support mean so much, and is very very appreciated. Britney moved last night. Her social security disability and long term care was approved and she was sent to the first facility that accepted her. It is ok but we are trying to find one that is closer and better. There was nothing we could do about it. The places we had looked at before that we liked were full and we didn't have time to find a new place before she had to be moved. In the mean time Britney will need a lot of people to visit her because it is much farther from home and close family won't be able to come as often. Casey and Jana have seen Britney make some improvements recently that are encouraging and will post their stories soon. I didn't want to tell them second hand. Even though progress is slow she is improving. I don't know what her future will be but we thank you for all of your continued support.
John

  1. That is good news about the SS & LTC approval. It's good to hear from you, and please don't worry about posting when the time isn't right. Britney and you whole family continue to be our prayers and we are happy to hear she is feeling more peaceful. Best of luck in finding a facility that works better for her.

  2. Thanks for updating when you can. You have friends all over who love you guys and keep you in prayers. Tyler was asking about Britney on Sunday. She has touched so many of us with her goodness. We love you, Britney and pray for your recovery.

  4. John, thank you so much for posting this!

I have been praying for Britney and your family for a long time, and am happy to see an update. I'm glad to hear that she has been feeling more peaceful and relaxed, and am happy that the SSD and LTC came through for her.

Sorry to hear that Britney had to be moved to a new facility, but make sure to get her on the waiting list for the facilities that you are interested in.

I will be working in the Denver area from 4/17-4/25, and will try to visit her at least once or twice. (I may try to get in a day earlier.)

Do you have any suggestions or ideas of things that we could do (or bring) that would make her happy or be of encouragement? (Such as favorite hymns or music, scriptures, pictures, flowers, other kinds of favorite things?)

    Please let us know.

    Take care, and God Bless!

  5. John,I was with Britney and Casey when she was moved. She was very alert for the day and was very tuned in to us while we were packing her belongings.I believe that she sensed something was happening. The first thing we did was hang up the pictures of Jonas,Vera and Anna and she was very quick to find them and focus in on her babies.I hope we can find a place closer to both of your parents very soon so we can all focus more on her rehabilitation and be able to help her come back. As always, you are all loved soooo much and always in my prayers.
Hope to see you the next time you make it to Colorado. HUGS TO ALL. Aunt Jan
